meet the Founder

Growing up as a multi-disciplinary dancer, cheerleader, and volleyball player, from a young age, Melissa had a life-long passion for movement and self-betterment. She was the first in her family to attend college, and while there, she always found herself in the gym between classes, the lone female in the weight section. This set her on a mission to immerse herself in as many aspects of fitness as possible in order to empower other women to feel less marginalized while lifting. She grabbed her undergraduate degree in Sociology and headed to The Big Apple to pursue a career as a trainer. Many certifications and an MBA in Business later, Melissa has expanded the scope of her work to include personal training, nutrition, and a holistic approach to overall wellness, making her a sought-after trainer and fitness professional in the competitive NYC wellness industry.

With One is the culmination of over 10 years as a certified trainer, nutrition and health coach, and NYC programming director. She is proud to be serving her clients one-on-one physically and mentally to make healthy life-changing shifts that last.
